Add a second computer

A licence covers one machine. If you already own one, a second computer is $39 rather than a full second licence - as long as both machines sync to the same Google Drive account.

Second machine code

On the computer that already has your licence: Tical → Settings → Licensing → Copy second machine code. Google Drive sync has to be switched on there - the code carries which account the pair lives in.

New computer’s hardware code

On the new computer: Tical → Settings → Copy hardware code. It starts with TICALHW2. and is unique to that machine.

A second machine stays licensed while it is signed in to the same Google Drive account as your first one, and while that first machine is still syncing. Tical checks this every time it starts. If it cannot, it says so and keeps working for two weeks before dropping back to the free tier - it never deletes your key.
